When the Zee Zees first landed on Earth, it was the middle of summertime, and the weather was still perfect for playing outside. They spent all summer running around and enjoying the great outdoors. As the seasons began to change and the first snowflakes started to hit the ground though, they found themselves discovering what we humans re-discover every year- it gets pretty cold outside! At first they weren't sure they wanted to go outside and battle the elements, but if there's one thing we know about the Zee Zees, it's that nothing stops them from staying active and having a good time. During the wintertime some of you might also find it a little harder to stay motivated to get healthy exercise. The weather outside may be cold but that doesn't mean you can't stay in shape with a few winter warmups that will be sure to keep you in tip-top condition. From building snow forts and having a snowball fight, to ice skating and sledding, there are a lot of fun ways to burn some calories and having a great time doing it. Of course, sometimes it is actually waaay too cold and snowy to go outdoors, so keep in mind you don't always have to leave your house to stay active in the winter. You could play your favorite songs and have a dance contest with your friends (or your sister or brother if you're really bored) right in your living room. If you like playing video games, there also plenty of fun ones that are all about getting up and moving around. Just remember, staying active during the winter months may take a little extra effort, but you'll find the more you do, the more energy you'll have to keep fit year round. Who knows, you may even have a little fun while you're at it! It's important to stay warm, so make sure you dress in layers and don't forget to put on that scarf before you get outside and get moving this winter.
