With so much to see and do during the wintertime, the Zee Zees decided to get together and make a list of all the cool things they discovered this winter. When they put it all together, they decided that it would actually make a fun scavenger hunt for everyone who not only wanted to learn more about winter, but also have a great time doing it. Try it out for yourself and see if there's anything else the Zee Zees need to know about the next time they go out walking on a winter wonderland scavenger hunt. A- Is for Acorn.'Squirrels like to hide them away to snack on when there's not much food during winter time. Good luck finding one! B- Is for Bobsled. Find one of these and then find the nearest hill to have some fun that goes downhill fast. C- Is for Chimney Smoke.'Where you see chimney smoke, imagine people sitting warm and cozy around around their fireplace! D- Is for Daylight. You won't have much time to find this one during the winter, especially if you live in Alaska. During the winter for a few weeks every year, it is completely dark for 24 hours a day! E- Is for an Evergreen tree. We don't want to give too much away, but the name kind of tells you what it is already. F- Is for Footprints.'See how many footprints you'can find - human footprints as well as all kinds of animal footprints! G- Is for Gloves. Throw on a pair of these while you're on your scavenger hunt. When it's cold outside, you'll be glad you did. H- Is for Heat. You'll want to find plenty of this after walking through your own winter wonderland. I- Is for Icicles.'When water and snow drips off of a rooftop they freeze and make icicles. They are cool to look at but don't stand under one, they can be dangerous. J- Is for Jacket.'A nice warm jacket can keep you cozy on your next winter journey. K- Is for Kindling.'Kindling helps you start the fire in your fireplace you need to make your winter wonderland nice'and toasty. L- Is for Lake Effect. This in a winter phenomenon where huge amount of snow are produced from snow clouds moving over a body of water.' M- Is for Melting.'Wear your best boots to keep your feet dry when the ice starts to melt. N- Is Numb.'When the temperature gets around freezing, you might not be able to feel your fingers and toes. That's why it's always important to wear warm gloves and socks. O- Is for Overcast. When it's overcast outside, that means it's very cloudy. When it's cloudy outside, that is usually a good sign that you might see snow falling from the sky. P- Is for Parka.'Wear one of these when the weather outside gets frightful. They're like a puffy blanket that zips up to keep you super duper warm! Q- Is for Quilt. Nothing is better that cuddling up under one of these after you've spent the whole day out in the cold. Goes great with a hot chocolate and a warm fire. R- Is for Reindeer. These guys are made for winter. They live in some of the coldest places on earth, so if you come across one, don't forget to bring an extra pair of mittens. S- Is for Snowman. Get ready to build your new best friend! Seriously though, making a snowman can be a super fun wintertime activity. Just don't be too sad when your new pal melts in the spring. T- Is for Turtleneck. What's the best way to both look cool and stay warm at the same time? Try one of these fashion-forward sweaters on for size and you'll be sure to find out. U- Is for Underwear. Long Underwear to be specific. A good pair of these will be sure to keep you warm at night. V- Is for Visability. When the winter weather really starts coming down, it can get pretty hard to see outside, so make sure you don't go out walking in a winter wonderland if you can't see where you're going. W- Is for Window Pane. In the winter, windows often'get a bit frosty, creating a great canvas for you to draw fun pictures with your fingers!' X- Is for X's and O's. These stand for hugs'and kisses. There's nothing that'll warm your loved one's hearts up faster than a couple of these. Y- Is for Yodeling. Yodeling is a form of singing that is often heard in the Alps of Switzerland, a place known for its winter weather. Try practicing with a few of your friends, it's a sound you won't soon forget.
