'When we fast, our bodies use up all the energy we've stored so eating a healthy breakfast is the perfect way to give us back the energy we need to go about our days.
So what makes for a healthy breakfast? The Zee Zees agree, breakfast should provide about 25% of your daily nutritional needs, so that means getting a bite from each of the four main food groups: starchy foods like cereals and breads; fruit and vegetables; milk and dairy foods; and the protein of food like meat, fish, eggs, nuts, lentils, or soy. You should avoid food that is high in fat and sugar like pastries and donuts as they are low in vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients.
