This month is National Apple Month'which means it's time to talk, taste and celebrate all things orchard. We're spreading the word the best way that we know, dropping apple knowledge like apples fall from trees. Here're a few tasty facts you probably don't know (unless you're Mezlo).
Fact 1: Only sour crab apple trees were native to America. We have today's variety because of the apples our European ancestors brought with them. 2,500 kinds to be more or less exact.
Fact 2: It wasn't always rice getting thrown at weddings'at one point in time it was actually apples.
